Beauty in Budget - BB cream (murah meriah) - Garnier BB Cream Indonesia Review

BB cream stands for blemish balm, blemish base, beauty balm or beblesh balm (apparently because of a trademark in Korea on the word "blemish"), and in Western markets, beauty balm. It is a cosmetic item sold mainly in East and Southeast Asia, although larger beauty brands are increasingly introducing BB creams to Western markets.

BB cream is promoted as an all-in-one facial cosmetic product to replace serum, moisturizer, primer, foundation, and sunblock. It can be worn alone as a tinted moisturizer, over serum and moisturizer as a regular foundation, and under powder, depending on the desired amount of coverage ( Source:Wikipedia)

And....... As we know, a price for korean BB cream is quite expensive in Indonesia.

BB cream like Et*** atau Fa**Sh** could reach for IDR 400.000 even more (± $40)

But when I have a 'me' time in my holiday agaiiinnnnn.... 

yaay.. !!  \(^.^)/ I found something interesting.

I saw a new product in Guardian that i've been waiting for because there is no drugstore in Indonesia.

"Garnier BB Cream" 

only for IDR 16.500 - ± $1,5

I'm falling in LOVE with this product. Because it's very light for daily use.

The packaging of this product is also lovely. Its comes with a Nude colored tube with the green leaf under the Garnier logo. Quite tiny packaging so that it easy to carry on. It contains 18 ml.

Have you ever try the Maybelline's BB cream (also quite cheap ± $2)?

I have tried the Maybelline's BB cream and I don't like it because there is no coverage at all, too liquid and there's no any shade that matches my skin.

The consistency of Garnier BB cream is thicker than Maybelline's BB cream but still it feels very light on the skin. It doesn't feel like you are wearing anything at all on your skin. It blends very easy. It makes skin that is dewy fresh & glowing. So I prefer to choose this product as a cheap daily use BB cream rather than the other.

For a person like me who just need a minimum coverage, especially who lives in tropical country like Indonesia, this product is very good. 

In a first swatches, this cream came in a pink undertone shade (it's a problem because I have a yellow undertone skin color). But, after I blend it out, SURPRISINGLY, it matches and blend with my skin perfectly.

I use the BB cream in my right face (left in picture)
as you can see, it gives coverage enough for my dark eyes area, nose, and around my mouth, also my blemish at my cheeks.
It's give a n even skin color too. *love it*

BLUSH : Maybelline Cheeky Glow Blush Studio - REVIEW

If there is a school holidays, I'am enjoying a loooonnnggg Holiday at the same time.. yaay....!!
So in this time, I decided to make a short review about a simple department store BLUSH..
I really love blushes. Because it can give you a bright and radiant healthy skin looks. So I really like to try different kinds and colors of blusher. Maybe later, i will make a special post about my blush collection ~lol~.

And, last week I bought new blushes from Maybelline. The name is...... Taaadaaaa.....

"Maybelline Cheeky Glow"

Cheeky Glow is a blush on with a shimmering things that can make your cheek looks glowing and pretty. But, don't worry aout the shimmer, because it has a very fine shimmer, which will not too glowing or shiny when blended on your skin. it just gives you a little pink sheer on your cheek. It can be used for daily looks.

About the product:

Peachy Sweety, Wooden Rose, Creamy Cinnamon, Fresh Coral

Packaging :

White container with transparent lid (Easy-able to see what color it is)

But sadly, when I came to the Maybelline's counter at Matahari Department store, they didn't  provide a complete shades. So I bought 2 from 3 shades that was available (Peachy Sweety, Wooden Rose, Fresh Coral). Mine are Peachy Sweetie and Wooden Rose. So this is how they looks like...

Wooden rose gives a beautiful pastel pink rose on the skin, and the Peachy sweetie gives a little bright and healthy glow pink. As you can see, the Wooden Rose shade has a little bit more gold shimmer than the Peachy Sweetie one.

Blended out at my pale skin, the Peachy Sweetie one is more pigmented rather than the  Wooden Rose shade. I have to give 4 or more layers of Wooden Rose blush to get that color. But only two layers to get the bright pink color from Peachy Sweetie one.

Pros :
+ Very Affordable - it's only IDR 39.000 (and that time I get 25% disc) yaay..!!
+ Small and easy to carry out in my simple bag
+ Have a fine shimmer
+ Have 4 natural and wearable shades
+ Not too chalky
+ Easy to get in local departement store
+ Have a good enough pigmentation.

Cons :
- Contains methlyparaben (oh noo...!!)
- Do not have any applycator brush and mirror
- The packaging is very standard and fragile
- Weak staying power.

This is my first posting as I'm a newbie here :)  You can call me 'Artqueen'. 

I'am a school principal and also a freelance MUA. I'am graduated from University of Indonesia in 2009 and University of Makeup-United State in this year. Since last February, I'am also becoming a loving wife :) yaay...!!
